We will meet you to see the site and discuss your needs, ideas and project requirements. This allows us to understand your design brief. This is the most
important part of the process for us and essential for us to get to know your likes, dislikes and how you would like to use your garden.
Within the typical design package we will visit site and measure up. This allows us to produce a simple survey drawing for use to create designs. On more
complex or large sites we may recommend that you commission a formal topographical survey to give us more detailed information. We frequently work
with local survey companies and will coordinate quotes for you if required.
We will prepare two garden design options to illustrate alternative ideas, layouts, styles and materials. Our typical design package includes the preparation
of rendered plan view sketches. This approach aims to keep things simple and our design fee to a minimum. However where beneficial we can develop
additional information to help explain the design. This could include a moodboard, 3D model & fly throughs, or a detailed planting design.
Once you have had time to think about the initial garden design options, we will get in touch to discuss. We are then able to finalise your preferred option or
create a blended option. This final garden design sketch provides us with a masterplan for your garden. Detailed decisions on colours, materials and features
will continue when we move onto construction.
Our in-house construction capabilities mean that we can provide you with a full quote to build your garden, based on
the final garden design sketch. This is the final step in our typical design package. Once a quote is in place you have the
option to ask us to take the project through to construction.
We offer you continuity from design stage to construction and this ensures that we achieve what was intended. We will
work closely with you to agree details on site and bring vast construction experience.
We take pride in constructing beautifully crafted gardens of all scales.
For large scale gardens and estates we aim to capture a vision for the whole site. This important first step of the process allows
us to explore ideas with you and to agree the principles that will guide the design of key spaces.
1. Site visit & design consultation.
2. Prepare a suitable baseplan of the site for design purposes.
3. Develop an illustrative masterplan for the whole site and/or produce concept design sketch options to explore the layout
and style of key spaces (such as entertaining patios, walled gardens etc). This will be supported by mood board images.
4. Gain feedback on the above and revise the designs to capture your comments.
5. Produce 3d visuals or a 3d animation of the design to help illustrate the design (optional extra).
6. Provide a cost estimate for PWP Landscape to install the design.
On larger scale/complex projects the design benefits from an additional layer of detail to help
define the scheme for the contractor. At the end of Stage 1 we can discuss and agree what is
necessary based on the individual project needs.
Stage 2 tasks could include:
• Layout and levels design for a key spaces.
• Detailed planting plans.
• Feature lighting design.
• Detailed design of bespoke structures and features.
"We believe it is important to offer our clients a quality service that not only shows innovative design but also a cost-effective means of construction. We work closely with other professionals in the field but also coordinate our own hard and soft landscape team, which means we can offer a ‘turn-key’ service with no project management fees, reducing the potential for error and ultimately the cost to the client”.
